How to Freshen the Air in your Home and Make it smell like the holidays
There’s not much better than having some fresh air in your home to wake you up and leave you feeling energized. We spend so much of our time inside, that it is so important to take care of our indoor air quality. The simplest way to start is to open your windows for a bit to get the air inside circulating, it feels especially nice when the weather is cooler and it brings the fresh air inside. And, since the air inside can have worse pollution than the air outside, it is important to regularly open your windows for fresh air.
Now to get you feeling energized and cozy, I like to simmer a pot of water on the stove and put in some cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, orange peels and slices as well as drops of water essential oils you may like. I like to add in a bit of lemon as well as pine for a wintery holiday smell. The citrus scents will not only wake you up, but it will smell festive.
This is one of the easiest ways to freshen up your home and energize yourself all while bettering your indoor air quality.
